DUMB IS STILL DEAD, PRIMETIME LIVES!

I know no one reads this, but in case a random person finds these old comics and laughs at more than one, I have been doing a few videos, titled "Primetime with Prime"

You can view all the videos here:

http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=PapaPrime

iffin you like them, spread the wealth, I'm needy.

LAST 2 GOBOT'S PAGES

For some reason or another the last 2 pages didn't upload. So I added them again today so they'll both update in a few hours. No seemed to make a stink about it (sigh)

Tommorow returns to the regularly scheduled Generation Dumb strips.

OLD SKOOL!

A few bits of info (only one pertaining to Generation Dumb)

I turn 25 tommorow (4-12) YAY! I can rent a car! (flails arms like kermit in excitement) YAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

My music projects (under the name, The Kettle Black) now have a myspace page http://www.myspace.com/dannmatthews check it out and let me know what you think.

And finally, I just made next week's Dumb strip (with special thanks to Moonie for the figure and Kakashi for the characterization) and I'm going back to basics. No more backdrops and elaborate photoshopping. Unless it's needed for the joke, I'm back to taking pictures in front of the computer, albeit a new and far better computer, we won't comment (too much) on leettraan's new OS.

This decision is partly because the visuals rarely help my poorly planned jokes, and my daughter's naptimes when I'm home are shorter thanks to my new school schedule, so I have less time to fiddle on the compy. (that sounded good)

For those that haven't already read the end of the Gobot's trilogy, it's about to wind down, and I'd love to hear your take on it, as I actually put alot of hours behind it and I'm quite proud.

Here I go, Rock you like a tornado.

Well, it appears that a few blogs ago, I noted that I'd sstart posting the third installment of the Gobots story beginning Tuesday. and I didn't. So... EARLY APRIL FOOLS....... I guess.

I'll download a new FTP program for the new 'puter this weekend and get the gobots uploaded, so the story will run into the following week.

Have a happy april fools day, and may many a prank piss you off.

HOLY CRAP! A BLOG!

I normally don't blog and hate the idea of blogging, but I'm pissed off enough to do so.

This saturday and sunday, I work 2 shifts at work. It's a close open. I've one these nearly 100 times before, and to be honest, I usually don't mind too much. My store closes at 1 am on saturday (sunday technically) add in anywhere from 15-30 minutes f excess task and a 15 minute commute home, I usually get home around 1:30-1:45am. Then I have to be back at around 8:30 in the morning to work again. So I have to wake up at 7:30 or so to get showered and whatnot.

This weekend, is daylight savings tim, so we LOSE AN HOUR! meaning, I'll get home at around 1:45, 15 minutes later, it'll be 3 am whan I get to sleep. I'm going to get no sleep!

I decided to take my plight to my coworkers who are able to help me, and all of them have reasons not to help me out (but they're sure to tell me how bad they feel)

I swear, if they weren't so short staffed and didn't need me to be a trained warm body, I'd swear they were trying to get me to quit.

It must be the patchy beard I'm growing, people tend to distrust sparsely bearded men.

I'm on the verge of buying a 6 pack of mountain dew 12 oz bottles and replacing them all with my refridgerator chilled urine and leaving them in the breakroom fridge for the soda theifs to enjoy a swig of my sterile waste.

I think I'm just tired/angry though. If anything, Sunday evening, I'm going to have the best prebacktoschool nap ever.

GOBOTS VOLUME THREE ALL UP IN YA GRILL!

Today (3/27) has a cute little one shot.

Starting Tuesay (3/28) is an eleven day run of Gobots volume three, wrapping up the story I've set up.

Hopefully, within that week and a half period, I come across rollbar (or hell, optimus trizuck too) I've got a slew of oneliners to toss up, but I want to wait till I actually have the figures.

GREAT GOBO-GODS!

ALright, next week will have another 'Dumb nugget of laughosity (take THAT spell check!)

And then, the Gobots return to finalize the "saga" I have started.

I have 5 pages "done" thus far. It looks to be about a 10 page set, possibly more. So the updates may begin earlier than Monday the 3rd. If you stop in on the 3rd and have no clue what page of volume 3 you're on, I'm going to add a quick link to the Side Projects portion of teh menubar to each individual volume.

Damn, I'm nice.

I've got "spring break" next week (at least that's what my technical college calls this weird gap between "quarters") So I plan on working ahead and getting some Dumb strips ready and waiting.

I Hope I can get Rollbar soon, I missed him when I picked up riccochet last week, and Kakashi (of the Allspark) has given me a great idea for his charechtarization. muhuhuhuha?...

Today marked the last pdate of the 2 1/2 weeks of Gobots stories.

Obviously I left things up in the air at the end of part 2, so I'll revisit the series later.

But we're back on the Dumb track, beginning next Monday, we're back to regular updates.

So many alternators on the way.... if hasbro keeps treating me this way, and ruining all my good underwear, I'll have to declare Hasbro my mistress.

ANOTHER GOBOT HEADLINE

I'm just pleased as punch with this gobot run, but I have already made 2 Dumb strips for the dumbs return the week after next (gobots part 2 finished off on tuesday)

Currently I'm seeking out an artist to make some cover art for the gobots comic as I have printed them out to present to my daughter. I have yet to laminate them together, and I think I'll get them printed on better paperstock as well. Wingus of the allspark has begun some preliminary sketches for some cover art, but I don't want to consider it official until he's done, since he's doing it out of the kindness of his heart, I don't want to claim it quite yet. :)

I might continue the gobots story and at least make it a 3 part arc (for those that have seen the "preview" of the full part 2, it's quite obvious that there's a cliffhanger that leaves it not so open ended) it'll be nice to put the story to rest and throw it a great wake at the same time.

And here's a quick bytheby, if you haven't seen Howl's Moving Castle yet, turn some tricks to get a quick $20 and BUY IT! I've already seen it twice once in it's entirety in storyboards) and I'm now chomping at the bit to watch it with other friends. I loved it more than spirited away, and I didn't think that would be possible.

Today sees the finale of Gobots Genesis.. CHAPTER 1!

Chapter 2 begins tommorow, it is 4 pages shorter, so it'll be done early next week.

Then, I believe we will return to our regularly scheduled Dumbness.

I added some quick links to the sidebar (next to the strips) That will bring you directly to the beginning of the Gobot story and the basic training strips..... FOR YOUR CONVINIENCE! So, like any convinience store, it costs about 2 bucks more than regular hyperlinks and you can buy lotto tickets.

GOBOT FEVA!

well, I completed the gobot comic!

remember to go back to Friday for page 1, a new page will update everyday with a double-length finale comic next monday!

I also have a follow up in the works.

This is FAR more time consuming than the regular run of Generation Dumb, so fret not funny wanters, it shall return once I grow tired of Gobots.

In the meantime, my wife has caught the Ebay bug.... the good thing is once she tires of looking for items for my daughter and herself, she starts browsing Transformers odds and ends.

One day I might have the suprise of a ratty transformers sleepingbag from the 80's! HUZZAH!

I ordered Beast Machines a while ago, I was hoping it would come in today, but it looks like I'm getting it tommorow.

I'm still MUCH luckier than the poor scmoes who were waiting on Best Buy to get it. THey're not getting it until next week, and that means the first week sale price will be done with and it will be the standard MSRP of 59.99. If you're a fan and looking to nab it anyway, Deepdiscountdvd.com is where I got it..... for $25 less than best buy will be offering, and that includes shipping. So stick it to Best Buy for getting it late! DAMN THE MAN AND ALL THAT NOISE!

GOBOTS GENESIS

I've been working on a decent looking fan comic for playskool GOBOTS.

They will replace this weeks strip. There are 4 pages to read, the beginning of the comic is HERE.
Page 4 will load on monday.
Let me know what you think! I hope to have the finale (8 more pages) done for next monday (tesday techniacally) but I can't post page 5 until I'm through page 12, otherwise it's spoils the fun of the story!

(if you're reading this update on Sunday, it may take awhile for the pages to autoupdate, as I just put them in minutes ago.)

Some would say I never had the funny to start with. But I am casting it aside for a while.

I'm not saying there won't be updates.

I am saying there will be a replacement.

Mondays will now have updates on the GO-BOTs fancomic I'm working on. (gobots were previously seen HERE.)

I'm having fun with this and any attempt at comedy would seem like an after thought (moreso than before of course)

Hope you enjoy the replacements!
No real reason for the spongebob title to this entry. My daughter's birthday is this Saturday, besides a Transformers Gobot I got for her, it's pretty much a clean sweep of Spongebob paraphenalia.

I'm satisfied with the picture I've made of the deceased Kool-Aid man.
For those foolish enough to read most of my posts at the Allspak, you may recognize Feb. 13th's gag.

I found this image while transferring stuff from my old computer to the laptop.

Well, I took my 2 weeks off after I cranked the past 3 out in one week. Now I've gotta get back to the "grind".

Cheetimus Primal has been kind enough to give me a sneak peek at his Beast Wars Alternators. (even more of a sneak peek than previously revealed at the Allspark) So, I just want to say 2 things. "NYAH NYAH!" and "OMG I CAN'T WAIT!"

UPDATE!

Okay, I got everything updated. It seems you have to give the xtml a "kick" every now and again to get things working.

Got back to my daughter and wife today, so happy to see them. So happy to use my own toilet. (there's something about pooping in a pink toilet that feels so vilified)

Hey, I'm about to become a "responsible" adult. For the first time EVER I plan to have a savings account with MORE than $2,000 that will STAY there until My daughter leaves for college. If I accomplish this task, I will feel like a superhero. And I'll have only wasted $100 on a TiVo system :D

MONTANA DAY TWO.

Well, day two into my somber trip, I happened upon CD Scattorshot, fleeting happiness at least.

There's something incredibly sweet about a basic figure with an ultra class upgrade, that alone makes me love this character.

I also like that even though his alt mode is somewhat like CD Red Alert, the two couldn't be any more dissimilar in robot mode.

I might even display the CD team together rather than just adding them to the Cybertron labeled TF tub.

I spent the entire day stuck at my aunt and uncle's house here working on collage's of old and new pictures of my grandpa.

Here's the one I liked the most, these will be framed and placed around his casket for tommorow's service.

OFF TO MONTANA

Fortunately I had already finished next weeks comic as my grandpa just died; so I'm obviously not in a comical frame of mind.

I'll be heading out to Montana for the weekend to attend his funeral. I'm just glad the whole family visited last year so we had some photo ops with my daughter, so while she won't remember him, we have some video and pictures to show her.

I'll return to my normal "wit" sometime next week I'm sure.

My grandpa, my aunt and my daughter.

MONDAYS ARE DUMB AGAIN

Back to Monday updates.

Comedy Central taught me that Jim Gaffigan is one of the funniest men alive last night. I've been a bug Dane Cook fan for a few weeks, downloading some of his work and watching the movie "Waiting" (MUCH MUCH more funny than it looks) then last night, I saw his Comedy Central half hour bit, and it was lackluster. Then Gaffigan's hourlong special came on (equipped with 15 minutes dedicated tol Hot Pocket jokes) and it blew me away.

But no one will ever top Mitch Hedberg, may he rest in peace.

The comics since nearly the first of the year have been thrown together in Photoshop rather than MSpaint which has been my forte for years. So the quality has risen and fallen at the same time, as I'm a novice photoshop user and a near expert MSpainter, which probably nearly balances out.

I'm off to get my taxes done today after school, I already have a new computer in my future, and my wife has talked me in to a DVR device. This astounds me, for once, my wife wants an arbitrary electronics device before I do. I love that woman.

FINAL DAY OF CENTENIAL CELEBRATION WEEK!

Finally, you won't see me type the word CENTENIAL for a while.

Todays strip is topped with a Cybertron Enquirer. 1,000 thanks to Drivaar, the creator of the Enquirer for the crossover fun!

Drivaar's work has always been hilarious, packing at least 5 REAL jokes per issue, while I shoot for one and usually miss the target.

Got some spare time today? If you do, definetly take a while to read through Drivaars other issues of Cybertron Enquirer HERE
